Secure Your Spot Early For the Sterling Savings Bank Bite of Bend 2008

Due to the overwhelming success of this event, The Bite will now be a 2 day event held on Saturday and Sunday June 21st and 22nd, 2008 in downtown Bend.

RESTAURANT VENDORS AT THE BITE OF BEND
Vendors who participated in last year’s event have first right of refusal for sign up and booth space. Subsequent booth space will be allocated based on when a restaurateur returns their booth payment and contract information. Of course we are adhering to our policy of only locally operated restaurants and there is no exclusivity in a food category.

The Sterling Savings Bank Bite of Bend is a fundraiser for The Kids Center. 10% of all food vendor’s sales are donated to this wonderful organization. Vendors at the Sterling Savings Bank Bite of Bend keep their proceeds from beverage sales. However, Pepsi has generously stepped forward as a sponsor of this year’s event and only Pepsi products can be sold in your booth. If you wish to sell beverages at your booth, check the appropriate box on your sign-up form and the morning of the event a Pepsi representative will bring a cooler of product to your booth. You will be responsible for purchasing the product and maintaining the temperature of the beverages (i.e. ice).

Pricing Guidelines

This year we are requiring that food booths provide a $1 item for attendees who wish to sample the wide variety of Central Oregon cuisine. There is a $6 limit for portion pricing. In this way we hope to allow more of the restaurants to present a better sampling of their wares.

If you are a business that produces a food product in Oregon or grows produce in Oregon, this is a great opportunity for you to showcase and SELL your product at a high quality and fun community event. You will have the opportunity to come face to face with thousands of people who LOVE food. You will also have the ability to make great contacts with the local restaurants in Bend and other food vendors such as yourself.

Last year’s event was an overwhelming success and this year we are contacting vendors early so they can prepare themselves for Central Oregon’s largest food event. Last year’s attendance was estimated at 20,000 people and this year is certain to be larger.
